MARCELO VELASQUEZ

I am Marcelo Velásquez, a 23-year-old Bolivian Mechatronics Engineering student, passionate about innovation and problem-solving. My dedication lies in developing impactful technological solutions that drive progress and improve lives. With a solid foundation in mechanical design and extensive expertise in CAD systems like SolidWorks, I have played a key role in vehicle safety component development and advanced prototyping projects.

My professional experience spans renowned companies such as BOTHELO Performance, Creotec, and TELFO Ingeniería, where I have honed my skills in 3D printing, electronics integration, and telecommunications. Through these experiences, I have gained a deep understanding of multidisciplinary engineering and practical applications of cutting-edge technology.

My achievements reflect my commitment to excellence. In 2024, I was honored with the prestigious "Most Improved Performance" award at NASA’s Human Exploration Rover Challenge (HERC). Additionally, I have been recognized for my entrepreneurial spirit and leadership at the Bolivian Catholic University. On an international stage, I have competed in events such as the Iron Cup Robotics Competition and the BolianBot Drone Racing competition, securing top positions and demonstrating both technical skill and creativity.

Since 2020, I have been a proud recipient of the Hanns Seidel Foundation Academic Excellence Scholarship, maintaining outstanding academic performance while continuously expanding my expertise. I am actively pursuing certifications in SolidWorks, TIG/MIG welding, and ethical hacking to further enhance my skill set. Beyond academics, I am deeply involved in STEM initiatives, having organized ITEC 2023 and represented Bolivia in global forums.

Driven by innovation and teamwork, I combine technical expertise in embedded systems, MATLAB, and sustainable design with a forward-thinking approach. My ultimate goal is to develop projects that enhance quality of life and contribute to advancements in science and technology, positioning myself as a leader in my field.
